* Make sure to speak with the person who will actually write
your résumé and that they truly understand your positions,
experiences and roles.
* Try to choose a company that doesn’t use templates but creates
each résumé specifically for each individual. It may be more
costly but well worth it. The idea of having a professional résumé
written is for your résumé to be distinct and one which is not from
a cookie cutter résumé writer.
* Seek a company that works with you and offers some flexibility.
* Ascertain that all work is guaranteed.
* Don’t be lured in by promises that can’t be delivered such as the
promise that if you use their services they will guarantee that you get the job. That is impossible. The job of a good résumé is to get you an interview. The rest is up to you.
* Choose a company that is affiliated with PARW/CC, AORCP,
CDI and/or NRWA.
