I keep hearing about computer scanning and scoring of a résumé,

please explain.

 

When you submit your résumé for a job application, many times it auto-

matically goes into a computer - an ATS, Applicant Tracking System,  

as opposed to being received by a person.  It is becoming the standard

because it saves a lot of man hours in the reviewing process of résumés. 

The computer is programmed to seek/ scan for certain key buzz words
that are industry related as well as being specific to the job posting.  It then 

scores the words based on how many, their relevance and their overall

strength.  The higher the score, the higher the probability of being targeted 

as a potential interview candidate.  The résumé is then reviewed by human

eyes, allowing for the opportunity to discover more relevancies
accomplishments and notable achievements thus increasing the probability

of an interview even more.  Keep in mind that unless the résumé contains

the right key words it may never be read by anyone. Preferred Résumé

What is the process from start to finish?

 

Once you have decided to have Preferred Résumé Group write your résumé or use any of our other services please choose the package that fits your needs and submit your credit card information. Upon receipt of payment, we will e-mail to you a copy of our questionnaire and a list of other required information that is designed to make you think and reflect on your employment history.  You will be surprised at what you may have forgotten that is very pertinent to where you want to go. Upon completion of the questionnaire and all requested information, you will send it back to us with a copy of your most recent résumé if you have one.  Once we have received these and reviewed them we will contact you to set up a consultation time to address any unanswered questions as well as giving you the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have.  Upon completion of this, the writing process shall begin.  You can expect to receive your first draft within 7-10 business days.  If upon your review you conclude it to be to your satisfaction, a final copy will be sent to you in Word format, ASCII Plain Text and PDF.  In addition you will receive a hard copy on premium paper, your paid receipt, our business card and a thank you note via U.S. Postal service.  If you are not yet satisfied we will make revisions until you are, for up to 30 business days.  We guarantee 100% satisfaction!


I’m very concerned about divulging my personal and private information.  Should I be?

unlimited amount of time.  All of our other valued customers are entitled
to one free update for one year from the time
of acceptance of completed
résumé.


How do I know that you won’t use my résumé as a template or sample for others to view?

 

Excellent question! All our résumés are unique and custom tailored for

each individual. The samples that we use may be hypothetical or an

anonymous version of an actual résumé created for a client. All documents

on the site are presented with written permission from clients. They are for 

informational purposes only and all names, places of employment and 

addresses, etc... or any relation to a living person or firm is purely 

coincidental and should not be used other than for the above stated intention. 


Why must I pay upfront?

 

We ask you to submit payment in full before the writing process begins because

a lot of time and effort goes into each and every custom written document that

we offer. We do not use templates and create each document specifically for

that individual.  We do try to accommodate those who may be in need of

flexibility so please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss other possible
